Cap & Gown Graduation Photos

I did my own daughter and her best friend’s cap and gown graduation photos on the way to dropping them off at their Senior Awards Banquet. I wanted to make sure and get photos of the girls in their graduation regalia and I knew that doing it at graduation wasn’t going to result in decent photos! I’m so glad I took the 20 minutes to take these and would happily do these for any other high school seniors that might be interested! It didn’t take very long and doing it with a friend is a lot more fun and a good way to share costs.

Meet Baby Myla

Myla came into my Salem, OR portrait studio for a Newborn Mini Session and rocked it! She slept the entire hour she was there which made everything easy. Her mom chose cream, pink, and a lovely rust color for her photos which looked great. I have a ton of props in all sorts of colors in my studio to choose from and always try to ask preferred colors to have a few things out to look at when clients arrive but you are always welcome to look around in case you see anything you like better. For girls I have a pretty large collection of headbands and I have hats and bonnets for both boys and girls. If there’s something you know for sure you want (or don’t want!) please don’t hesitate to let me know.

Meet Baby Beau

I traveled north to visit baby Beau and his family in their home for his newborn session. It was fun to see both of his big brothers since I did the oldest brother’s newborn photos and middle brother’s newborn photos as well. We made sure to use the same navy background for all three of them, I always try to use the same prop or color at least once with siblings to tie their photos together. It’s always a compliment to be asked back to do newborn sessions for younger children, one that I love to receive!

2 months old

It’s always fun to photograph multiple generations together and I was thrilled to include mom’s own grandmother (and baby’s namesake!) in a milestone session while they were all in town. We did some photos focusing just on baby and several family photos. I’m always happy to include grandparents or other special family members if that’s something you’re interested in- just let me know!

Meet Baby Souline

Souline and her parents came into my Salem photo studio for a newborn session and brought along mom’s bridal veil which was fun to use! It actually was easier to use in photos than a wedding dress, so definitely a good idea if you want to use just the veil if it’s got the pretty detailing like this one does. We also did some family photos which are always an option regardless of if you choose a Mini or Full Newborn Session. Nothing quite as special as first official family portraits!
