I traveled to Niyah’s home with my studio lighting and some props for her newborn photo session. When I travel for newborn sessions I bring everything I need for the session plus a little extra so my clients have some options and if baby pees on something we have backups. Better safe than sorry! I rarely bring my backdrop stand and instead use blank wall space if possible, which is what we did here. It’s a lot easier and takes up less room, and has the added bonus of matching your walls when you hang the photo on it! Traveling takes extra time as I have to pack everything I need to bring to load my car (and eventually unload!) plus the time driving so I do charge a $50 travel fee. I know that some client’s prefer the convenience of not having to travel with their newborn so it’s definitely an option I’m happy to provide.
