Halloween Mini Sessions

I did a few Halloween Mini Sessions in the studio again this year and it was a lot of fun! These were super quick with the goal to get a handful of quality photos of kids in their Halloween costumes. I love looking back on my own kids’ Halloween costumes over the years and remembering how adorable they were! I learned pretty quick that I got much better photos if I did them on a completely separate day before the holiday. If you’ve ever tried to photograph a super excited child in a terrible lighting (it’s so dark so early on Halloween!) you know exactly what I mean. Standing still for mom to take photos is the LAST thing most kids want to do! However, putting their costume on for the express purpose of taking photos is a whole different ball game. They love showing off their costumes and it’s usually way easier!
