I first met Oskar last year when I took his one year old baby photos at his grandparent’s house outside of Salem. This year we scheduled his two year photo session while he was in town visiting his grandparents once again only this time we met at a park in Silverton where we ended up in the water. He was a pretty big fan of all the rocks and sticks to be found in the shallow creek water but big sister was a lot less enthusiastic about getting wet. She was much happier wearing Mom’s old homecoming tiara and twirling which works just fine too!
I love being able to capture kids being themselves and documenting things like their favorite stuffed animals and playing with big sticks and wearing mom’s tiara. As the years go by little things can be hard to remember and capturing some of those details just brings it all back. At least that’s how it works when I look through my own children’s baby and childhood photos!
