Halloween Mini Sessions: Child Photographer Salem, OR

With all the rain this month my Fall/Halloween Mini Sessions got moved to an indoor location rather then the outdoor field location I was hoping for.  The worst part?  Once I set all up indoors it barely rained for the hour or so it took to finish all the Mini Sessions!  Of course if I had gone with my original field plan I’m sure it would have poured buckets so I suppose it’s better to be safe then sorry.  I had a lot of fun with these, it’s the first time I’ve done Mini Sessions with just kids and I think it went really smoothly.  I even squeezed in my kids in for a few photos in their Halloween costumes which saved me some time!  My kids are both going as pirates this year, mostly due to our trip to Disneyland this summer and my son’s discovery of The Pirates of the Caribbean ride.  Turns out that any ride that forces you to exit through a pirate gift shop full of swords and guns is just about the coolest thing ever to a five year old boy.  My daughter jumped on the pirate bandwagon but insisted that she be a pink pirate.  I kind of like that my kids prefer to coordinate their costumes, I think it’s cute that they like to match each other!  Even better is that my son’s pirate costume was made by my talented Mother in Law for my husband to wear as a boy 30 years ago.  All we did was add the white undershirt, buy Grace a black/pink pettiskirt off Ebay and we were done!
