Fall Photo Session

Occasionally I’ll get an email asking if I do a session type that isn’t one I mention on my website. Sara emailed asking if she could sign up for a Fall Mini Session to do photos of just herself and possibly her new puppy. Of course! I’m happy to do photo sessions for individuals and couples as well as kids and families. And I don’t mind including pets in your session, especially if you have someone with you to handle the animals when they aren’t being photographed. If you want to include your pets please let me know ahead of time so we can make sure the location is appropriate and I’m prepared.

Fall Family Mini Session

We met up at a local Salem Park for a fall family Mini Session on a late Saturday afternoon. The leaves aren’t quite turning colors yet but the grass is most definitely dry and no longer green. I brought along my wooden crate and a neutral cream blanket and they brought the boy’s toy football which we used for a few photos and really brought out some smiles! I prefer photographing families outdoors because it gives us more room to work with and lets small children have space to move around and get their wiggles out.

Fall Family Mini Session

Fall Family Mini Session season is here! I love photographing this family and it’s always a joy to see them every year and see just how much taller the goys have grown. Mini Sessions are a great way to update your family portrait since they’re quick and relatively painless. We finish in about 20 minutes and in that time I can usually get quite a few photos done. This is one of my favorite spots for fall family photos, and in the next month or so the leaves will start turning colors and it will be spectacular. Fall is always a very busy season for me so if you’re interested in a Mini Session be sure to reach out to me so I can do my best to fit you in my schedule.

Meet Baby Oliver

I traveled to Oliver’s home for his newborn session and brought my studio lighting, props, and everything we needed for his newborn photos. We used their wood floors for prop photos which worked very nicely. They requested natural colors in browns, cream, and greens which is what I brought. Oliver was sleepy for most of his 2.5 hour long photo session which made my job pretty easy. He is a super cute little guy and it was a lot of fun working with him!

Adam Senior Photos

I’ve gotten to know Adam fairly well over the past several months as he’s been in my kids’ Scout troop for awhile and also helped staff the same National Youth Leadership Training session as my kids this past summer. I’ve made a few long drives up to Mt. Hood with him in the car and I especially appreciate his talkative nature since my kids usually put in earbuds and tune me out. Adam wears his Scout gear pretty much all the time so it made sense that he wore it for his senior photos. He even brought his NYLT staff shirt and beads which was fun! I love it when teens bring their interests along for their senior photos.
