I met this family at a local Salem park at the height of fall color in mid-November. The leaves were orange and all over the place! We even tossed them around at the end of the session for some fun photos with leaves in the air. It can be hard to predict when the best fall color will happen, but it always seems to be in late October or November when the weather can be unpredictable and the rain can knock down all the pretty leaves. If colorful leaves are a priority for you late fall is definitely the best time for fall family photos.
