Ben is a super cute little guy and I had a blast doing his three year old portraits! He’s definitely a ball of three year old boy energy but he also has the best manners. I was pretty impressed when he asked me how I was doing when I first greeted him, not too many little kids ask me that! Mini Sessions work really well for kids in this age range since they are only 20 minutes which is usually about as long as their attention span lasts. I usually wind up with 12-15 (sometimes more!) photos to choose from. I typically try for some more posed photos in between some less posed (like the “walk towards me” which turned into running towards me a few times!) for variety. Every kid is different and trying lots of different poses or prompts usually gets me some real smiles and genuine expressions.
