This little guy wasn’t the easiest baby I’ve worked with (or the hardest!) but he definitely gave me a run for my money during his newborn session. His mama really had her heart set on a certain beanbag pose that he just wasn’t too keen on. Actually, he just wasn’t too keen on being unwrapped! I persisted and at the end I finally wore him out enough that we got the shot she really wanted so it was worth it.
Not every baby will go into every pose and if they’re not comfortable I won’t force them into it. In this case he just didn’t like losing the comfort and security that being wrapped gave him so I waited until I had him in as deep of sleep as possible and cranked the heat up and used all my patience. Patience is definitely the name of the game!
