August 16: Tried my hand at canning pickles for the first time. Tried out a low-temp pasteurization process that is supposed to keep them crunchy…we shall see!August 17: Volunteered to provide family photos for 12 families in about an hour at Camp Magruder on the beach. The kids came along with me and climbed up this tree together before we left for home.August 18: After almost two years Grace FINALLY got her braces off! This is the first post-braces photo we took in the lobby on our way out the door 🙂August 19: Took advantage of location scouting in Corvallis to sneak in Grace’s 10 year old portrait session. She chose the Corvallis alleyways and it worked perfectly!August 20: Spent a fun hour at the park with this super smiley baby, such a doll!August 21: The kids playing some Life on the living room floor.August 22: Poor Zoe not getting the love with all the puppy attention these days.August 23: A flower in our neighbor’s front yard.August 24: Cedar is really getting better at walking on a leash with all the practice she’s been getting.August 25: The kids love to climb the trees at the dog park, here’s Ethan up a tree!August 26: Volunteered to photograph the Dallas Family Night Out for the third year, these are all backpacks filled with school supplies and toothbrushes that were handed out for free!August 27: Crossed this neat bridge on the way up to Poulsbo, WA to visit a friend and attend PAX for the weekend.
August 28: Grace and I walked a whole lot of downtown Seattle today and made sure to visit the famous gum wall at Pike’s Place.August 29: Ethan enjoying a trip on the ferry we took from Bainbridge Island to downtown Seattle.August 30: I took both kids to a super good bakery for a doughnut and coffee on their mornings with me. Of course that meant I got two yummy doughnuts which I was totally ok with!August 31: Macro of some leaves.
