I’ve started a personal photography project for 2015 which I’ve decided to share here, more for the accountability then anything! The last time I started AND finished a Project 365 was 2010 and life has changed so much since then and I want to make sure I thoroughly document it. I love flipping through my 2010 Project 365 and remembering all the little details of what life was like when my kids were toddlers and preschoolers. That was the year my daughter started kindergarten and had eye surgery, the year that I really started photographing friends’ kids and their families rather then just my own, and my son was an adorable 2 year old.
Rather then post every day I will post several days all at once every week or so. This first installment is from January 1-8th which includes the end of winter vacation and the transition back to real life.January 1st: Took this photo handheld after my tripod broke on a Momtographers Night Photography Field Trip to Portland. View is from the Pittock Mansion’s viewpoint.
January 2nd: Took the kids ice skating for fun, second time for Grace and first time for Ethan. Grace just flew!
January 3rd: Ethan started basketball today and was super excited to wear his new fancy orange Nike socks we scored the day before.
January 4th: David invited Zach and Katie over to play Kids DnD (Dungeons and Dragons) and I provided a bunch of healthy snacks. Super nerdy but the kids totally dig it!
January 5th: First day back to school and David worked late. The kids and I landed on the couch and I looked over to see them snuggling together on the iPad. How cute is that?
January 6th: I took my son outside to practice macro photography together after he got home from school. His “new to him” camera came with some macro extensions which he thought was pretty cool!
January 7th: I put my 135L on my camera and stood waaaaay back to get some photos of my kids doing homework together after school at the kitchen table.
January 8th: My husband and daughter went to Girl Scouts tonight so Ethan and I finished putting away the last of the Christmas decorations and rewarded ourselves with a trip to Limeberry together. Finished the evening off with an hour of video games together. I totally rock at Pikmin Bingo Battles!
