I met Daniel and his family less than a week after his birth and enjoyed spending the morning with him.  He is a very snuggly little guy and I love his full head of hair!  It’s amazing to me how unique every newborn I’ve photographed is.  No two are the same and even at less than a week old they are very much their own little person.

I was pretty excited to try out my fun green fur I’ve been hanging onto for awhile.  I always feel like baby boys get the short end of the stick in the fun prop department so I was excited to find the green fur because it looks pretty boyish to me.  We paired it with a grapevine wreathe to make him look like he was nestled in a little nest, and boy did he like the nest!  The adorable cream and navy blue hat was purchased by his grandmother and worked perfectly with the green.  I’m always excited when clients have fun props that personalize their session!

I always encourage parents to jump in front of the camera for a few photos with their new baby because I know that they will cherish these memories, especially since so much of the first few weeks feels like a blur of feedings, diapers, and sleepless nights.  We were working in a pretty tight space next to the sliding glass door which goes to show that nice family portraits are possible even in small spaces.
