I had a blast photographing Tom & Michelle down in Corvallis a few weeks ago for their engagement session. They are getting married in Hawaii in October (lucky!) and were visiting Tom’s parents in Albany for the week. We met downtown Corvallis and walked along my favorite alleyway for awhile before heading over to Avery Park. I enjoyed spending some time in the back alleys for some more “urban” shots since I don’t have as many opportunities for urban backdrops living in a small town. I have open fields aplenty, but cool back alleys are fewer in number! We spent a few minutes in the rose garden at Avery Park before driving around hunting for some pretty light which we found pretty easily. I usually scout out locations prior to a session but this was fairly last minute and I didn’t get a chance to drive down to check it out. Knowing that Avery Park was 75 acres I figured we’d find plenty of good spots and I was right. I would love to come back down to Corvallis for more sessions, there’s so many great locations!
I had a really hard time narrowing down my favorites from this session, in fact I wound up with quite a few more “keepers” then I usually do.
